How it works?

You cough and let the device do its work, as simple as that!

Cough

Take a deep breath... and cough! Our aesthetically designed mouthpiece will provide a channel for your pathogens to flow directly to the testing chamber.

Plunge

To ensure that we have enough of your breath to conduct a proper analysis, plunge the stopper into the tube to assure that no specimens will bind to the entryway.

Start

Once the saliva is collected in the test chamber, all you have to do is press the start button! Our system autonomously releases fluids from the cartridge that you insert at the bottom

Plug

Now all thats left to do is connect the Viral-X to your laptop or phone via USB, sit back, and relax until the scanning is complete. Make sure you are on our testing portal before you plug it in!

No advisors, no capital, and no help. Just two guys with big hearts wanting to make the world a better place. Started from a workshop in the basement, we aim to have global implications with our product.

User Input

Our results are personalized and unique based on solely the user. We plan to use the individual characteristics of each test to figure out how to better prepare our product.

Autonomous Testing

The main perk to using Viral-X is simple: our device allows you access to diagnostic technology comparable to that of a medical suite, but at your own convenience. No biological skills are necessary to use Viral-X, because our system conducts each test all on its own.

Colorimetric Analysis

The secret behind Viral-X may not be as complicated as you might think. Our system uses special enzyme-linked antibodies that change color when exposed to a certain chemical. When the antibodies bind to the pathogens in your breath, we can quantitatively measure how much of the pathogen exists in the testing area.

Digital Results

Once again, we stress that the most important factors of Viral-X are its ease of use and its convenience. After less than an hour of analysis, the machine sends all of its results to your computer, along with interactive models of what's really inside of you.

Cost Effective

When you go to the doctor to get tested for diseases, the price piles up over time. With Viral-X, you are presented with the option to test yourself for only the price of microliters of chemicals in our cartridge. It's a great invesment, especially in a house full of busy, active, children.

How did you create Viral-X?

It's a secret.

What is the research behind this?

We are currently presenting at science fairs as well as submitting a patent for Viral-X, so unfortunately we can't share anything at the moment.

How are you able to create the color matrix?

Once the individual coughs into the Viral-X, we run our special solutions through the cough which release enzymes with color markers on them. If the enzymes attatch to an antigen of a virus, then the color hue of the enzyme will be prevelant.

Was there any outside help for this project?

We had no advisors nor capitol for this project, all the research and prototype design was done by Varun and Alex.

Has the device been tested?

We are in the processes of finalizing our prototype as well as ordering the special solutions for the device. Hopefully in the near future we will be able to test the device for imperfections and accuracy.

How many times can I use the device until I have to buy a new one?

The device should be used multiple times until the solution runs out. In the end, the cost of the device (with its significant amount of uses), won't outweigh the cost of a doctor's visit.
